Regulations

Ejari is the Dubai Land Department system through which tenancy contracts in Dubai are registered and renewed. DLD offers three registration channels: the Ejari system itself, the Dubai REST mobile application, and Real Estate Trustee Centres.
Fees differ by channel. Registering through the Dubai REST app or website costs AED 177.75 in total — a AED 100 registration fee, a AED 10 Knowledge Dirham fee, a AED 10 Innovation Dirham fee and a AED 57.75 service partner fee inclusive of VAT. Registering through a Real Estate Trustee Centre costs AED 220 in total — the same AED 100 registration fee, AED 20 in combined Knowledge and Innovation fees, and a AED 100 service partner fee inclusive of VAT.
Eligibility to register also differs by channel: registration via the mobile app is limited to individuals and companies; via a Trustee Centre, the tenant (or an authorised representative) and the landlord (the owner or an authorised representative) can register; and direct system registration is available to licensed property management companies, individual owners managing their own property, or a legally authorised representative.
